The problem
Every leadership team is being asked where it stands on AI, and most of the instruments answering that question are vendor quizzes: a flattering score, no way to defend it, and no admission of how sure the assessment actually is. Most maturity assessments quietly blend how advanced you are with how sure they are - so a confident-sounding number papers over thin evidence, and the roadmap that follows is a generic checklist.
The approach
AI Vector refuses the blend. A guided assessment across six pillars - Strategy & Leadership, Value & Execution, Data & Technology, Governance Risk & Trust, People & Operating Model, Scale & Learning - scores 24 dimensions on a 0-5 scale against concrete, observable anchors, from Unestablished to Adaptive. Alongside every maturity score sits an independently computed confidence measure built from coverage, corroboration, and recency: a poorly corroborated advanced practice reads high maturity, low confidence - not a reduced score. The output is built from your gaps, not a template: a prioritized 90-day action plan and a 12-month roadmap.
Architecture & build
The AI interviewer clarifies and explains, but it never sets a score: scoring is deterministic, versioned, and reproducible from stored answers, with the framework registry versioned independently of the engine. Three tiers: a free 5-7 minute Snapshot (provisional score, six-pillar summary, three priority observations, no account required), a $290 Professional Diagnostic (adaptive interview across all 24 dimensions, per-dimension confidence detail, web report plus PDF, 14-day refund), and an Enterprise 360 multi-stakeholder assessment in development.
The outcome
A running SaaS that gives leadership teams a number they can defend in the boardroom - and, just as deliberately, an honest account of how well-corroborated that number is.
