The problem

Musk’s X account is one of the most consequential feeds in technology and one of the least readable: hundreds of posts, replies and reposts a day across SpaceX, Tesla, xAI, politics and personal commentary. Following it means living in the feed; not following it means missing the announcements that move industries. There was no middle option: a daily, structured, source-linked briefing that a reader could trust precisely because it never pretends to be more than it is.

The approach

MDD collects the previous 24 hours of available activity through the X API - original posts, replies, quote posts and reposts, with authors, timestamps and engagement snapshots - and turns it into one morning edition: an executive summary, the five most significant posts (with a Most Viewed toggle ranked by captured impressions), notable conversations, signals and a daily takeaway. Eight frontiers get their own assessment every day - Starship, Starmind and orbital data centers, Starlink, Terafab, Optimus, Colossus, Grok and superintelligence, Cybercab - each marked as a material update, mentions only, or no update. A Musk Signals view tracks recurring themes and possible changes of position, and historical claims are only allowed when a dated prior edition supports them. Every item links to the original post, missing context is disclosed, and reposts carry the original author’s statistics with explicit attribution.

Architecture & build

Public reading and private publishing are separate services. A scheduled task fires at 7:00 AM Eastern and drives a private publisher that collects sources, classifies each item by topic and frontier, sends the evidence plus the previous fourteen editions to xAI for a structured draft, then validates the output - structure, source-ID references, attribution, frontier consistency - before writing an immutable JSON edition to Cloudflare R2. It reads the edition back before reporting success; a retry for an existing date returns that edition rather than overwriting it, and a quiet day is published as a quiet day without an AI call. The public reader at mdd.aglogik.com has no publishing route at all: it forwards a fixed allowlist of read-only routes, accepts GET and HEAD only, and never exposes a credential to the browser. The whole thing runs as two serverless workers with no VPS behind it. The app is a PWA: install it from Chrome or Safari and it opens in its own window, with bookmarks, type filters and a print layout; new editions arrive without an app update.

The outcome

Live and publishing daily since October 30, 2026. The reader gets Musk’s day in a few minutes, with the original words one tap away and the interpretation clearly separated from the record.
