Radio Alpha Signal
Three sources. One clear signal.
A weekly AI-generated radio briefing: three stories from All-In, Moonshots and Musk Drop Daily, two hosts, seven to eight minutes, produced entirely on one local workstation and released on X every Thursday at 7 PM ET.

The problem
Keeping up with AI, business and engineering through podcasts means hours of listening a week - two long panel shows plus a daily activity stream - for a handful of developments that actually matter. The question was whether a small, disciplined pipeline could do the listening and hand back something a person would choose to play.
The approach
Each week RAS takes the newest All-In and Moonshots episodes and the week’s Musk Drop Daily editions, transcribes the audio locally, and picks exactly three supported stories. Each one answers the same four questions: what happened, why it matters, one takeaway, and one concrete development to follow. Claims and forecasts are attributed to their source; RAS’s own interpretation is kept distinct and material figures are checked against primary records - a filing, a company blog, a NASA reference - before they are spoken. The format is fixed: a station opener, a female lead and a male co-host, matching music cues between topics, a brief sign-off and a closing vignette, inside a ten-minute ceiling.
Architecture & build
The production path never leaves the A7 workstation. faster-whisper transcribes the source audio, the script is drafted and reviewed, Kokoro renders the two approved voices on the CPU, and FFmpeg assembles speech and music, checks levels and exports an archive MP3 plus a square 1080p H.264 video with changing topic highlights for X. A scheduled preparation task starts the workflow every Thursday at 5 PM and prepares the package for review; it is not an automatic publisher. The owner listens, approves and posts the episode at 7 PM. Repeated runs cannot advance the episode number or overwrite an approved edition, and a missing fresh source is reported as a blocker rather than papered over with stale material. No cloud service sits on the publishing path, and the planning ceiling for incremental spending is ten dollars a month.
The outcome
Episode 001 shipped at 7 minutes 38 seconds; the weekly cadence began November 5, 2026. The whole station - research, script, voices, music, mix and video - runs on hardware already on the desk, with measured one-off discovery costs under four dollars.
