The problem
Practical film-sound training needs structure: students must analyze real scenes - dialogue, shot/reverse-shot, open plans with motorized elements, party scenes, monologues under lights, phone calls and chases - and submit coherent group work, not scattered emails.
The approach
Built for the Sonido Directo practical at Universidad del Cine - the Buenos Aires film school founded by Manuel Antín in 1991 - the platform presents six curated excerpts spanning Argentine and international cinema from 1949 to 2020, from Fregonese’s Apenas un Delincuente to Favio’s El Romance del Aniceto y la Francisca, each tagged with its technical challenge. Anyone can preview scripts and requirements read-only; students log in, form groups, and complete the practical exam in place.
Architecture & build
Public read-only preview layer over an authenticated submission flow with group management - a deliberately simple, reliable structure for classroom use. Spanish-language interface built for its Argentine film-school context.
The outcome
A running classroom tool that turns a logistics problem (collecting practical exams) into a clean workflow - and a demonstration that good education tooling can be small and precise.
